It’s a Small World After All.
It’s very satisfying, I’ve completed a whole bed quilt. As this quilt is a Christmas present I feel that I am ahead of myself. It’s made of pink and blue hexagons using the English paper piecing technique. Last year I asked a fellow quiltmaker on Instagram what the acronym EPP stood for. English Paper Piecing! Now we all know. Love a TLA (Three Letter Acronym) me!
I have a huge bag of one inch sample squares that need to be used up, maybe I should make a full sized quilt with them! Handily you can click and print hexagon papers from a site on the internet now. Thanks for the cardboard Amanda!
Lovely fine pink check backing fabric given to me by my friend Lara.
Scrap of wadding and some ancient thin blue bias binding from my stash.
Ok, ok it’s a doll house quilt. Maybe not such an epic feat after all. I made some pillows for the dolls to rest their weary heads on.
And I bought an adorable miniature hot water bottle from eBay. Sadly the doll house shop in Eastbourne has closed down.
Going to wrap this gift up for Christmas now.
Happy Christmas making!
