September Cake of the Month
September Cake of the Month was a Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Cake. It smells absolutely delicious when it’s cooking and the recipe comes from Nigella.com
So, here’s the question: –
To win the September Cake of the Month answer this question – If the following heads of state competed in an arm-wrestling tournament who do you think would win; President Dalia Grybauskaitė of Lithuania, O le Ao o le Malo Tufuga Efi of Samoa, President Ali Bongo Ondimba of Gabon, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, President Ollanta Humala of Peru or Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei?
And the winners answer: –
I want to say Ali Bongo, I have no idea who that is but the name reminds me of a tropical fruit drink with a catchy theme tune which we used to sing on the way to school. Um Bongo Um Bongo they drink it in the Congo!
I gave her a 3-pack of Um Bongo to go with the cake. It’s exclusively supplied by Asda in the UK now.
And do they drink Um Bongo in the Congo? Let us ask the ever reliable Wikipedia: –
It was believed it was unlikely that Um Bongo is drunk in either the Republic of the Congo or the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but the Portuguese version has been spotted for sale in a ‘Jambo mart’ in Lubumbashi in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
