Melanie Makes Meringues Strawberry Fields Forever
I just finished, stuffed with presents and posted this stocking to the other side of the world!
One of my friends gave me a blue Cath Kidston off-cut with strawberries on and some white broderie fabric with strawberries on and another friend from quilt group gave me a strawberry fat quarter. I decided to use some of this strawberry goodness to make a stocking for a friend who is living overseas.
Difficult to take attractive pictures on a building site.
Just for fun, I unpicked a label from an old Cath Kidston apron which is due to be dropped off at the next jumble sale and sewed it on the stocking to make it look exclusive. I did confess in the card that it’s not the real deal!
Finished off with a blue ribbon to hang it up with and a white strawberry button, both from my gargantuan stash!
Hope she likes it and hope it arrives in time :s
